The VaporPlus provides very quick and thorough humidification throughout the display case. Operator adjusted timing control consists of a dial for more or less humidity. There is no reason to lose valuable humidity because of the drying effects of refrigeration. MEAT AND OTHER PERISHABLE PRODUCT WILL LOOK THE SAME AT 10 O'CLOCK P.M. AS IT DID AT SEVEN THAT MORNING.
Filtration Protection and Safety
With every VaporPlus system, a dual filtration system is included. The first filter is for sediment removal down to 1 micron; the second is a cartridge with media to remove chlorine and bacteria.

Practical Advantages
The ultrasonic air-atomizing nozzle is located below product display racks. The VaporPlus atomizes water with air to produce a fine vapor; this vapor rises above and around the display area. These fine atomized droplets readily evaporate into the air around the product, raising the relative humidity to 95% or better. The high relative humidity helps prevent natural moisture in the product from evaporating into the dry air. This process does not wet the product.
VaporPlus(tm) Service Case Humidity System Features:
- The Ultrasonic atomizing nozzle produces the smallest droplet size available in this type of nozzle. This means a true fog (not a mist) is produced. Humidity levels in the display area are immediately elevated and because of the readily absorbed fog into the case atmosphere product will not dry out anywhere within the display area. The fog will not discolor meat and seafood. It will produce a vapor shield in the atmosphere of the case preventing dehydration.
- Nozzle is adjustable for both spray pattern and water flow.
- Unique nozzle design resists hardness build up through internal mix design and high air velocity, thus low or no nozzle maintenance.
- Humid Air is dense air - This means that case temperatures can be maintained at optimum conditions with less BTU's. Therefore, besides protecting the shelf life of the seafood and meat this equipment produces an energy cost savings for the store.
- Eliminate defrost cycles. Outer coil temperatures are set above 32° F preventing frost and ice formation, which acts as an insulator requiring frequent defrosting. This is another energy savings.
- 1/3 HP compressor produces high air output - depending on case manufacture and layout, up to 24' of service case can be humidified with one unit.
- Dual filtration system is standard with all systems. Sediment filter removes all suspended solids that could clog nozzle and solenoid. Second filter destroys bacteria and algae that may be present in water supply. This second filter also removes free chlorine that may be present preventing bleaching of meat and seafood. Depending on local water conditions, cartridge life is typically one year. Reverse Osmosis is not necessary or desirable for the operation or performance of the VaporPlus.
