Operating Advantages -
Cool,
Cool,
Cool... Ever notice how cool it is when you're near the spray
of a water fountain or crashing wave. This is because of evaporative
cooling.
Basically, evaporative cooling works when water evaporates, it absorbs heat.
When this heat is absorbed the temperature is reduced.
Using thermodynamics and psychrometrics it can even be predicted how
much heat is absorbed and how much the temperature will fall. In some
cases the air can be cooled up to 40 degrees Fahrenheit.
Where cooler temperatures are needed, evaporative cooling systems can
deliver. These systems are used for cooling outdoor
patios and decks, cooling the air around air conditioning condensers
and other applications.

Applications
Outdoor cooling
Decks & patios
Booths
Livestock
Dust and static control

Practical Advantages
Using the calculator below you can calculate how much
cooler the air will get by using evaporative cooling. Just type in the
temperature and the relative humidity and click submit. The dew point
temperature would be the temperature of the air after using an evaporative
cooling system. Please note that this calculation assumes you are at
sea level with a pressure of 100kPa. For actual practices a psychrometric
chart should be used.
